Duren, Kuminga and Mathurin still unsigned in free agency roundup
Jalen Duren, Jonathan Kuminga and Bennedict Mathurin remain the notable unsigned free agents, per Yahoo Sports and NBC Sports, with Yahoo suggesting both Duren and Kuminga are positioned to sign for less than they had hoped.
Detroit is said to be offering Duren something in the low $30 million a year range while the All-NBA big man views himself as a max player, eligible for up to five years and $287 million under the Rose rule; one league source described the negotiations as "noxious" to NBC Sports.
His fallback is a $9.6 million qualifying offer. Kuminga's paths have narrowed after Peyton Watson's sign-and-trade to Cleveland took one landing spot away.
