Duren feels 'disrespected' by Detroit as Kings lurk, says Spears
NBA insider Marc J. Spears reports Jalen Duren's restricted free agency standoff with Detroit has turned personal, with Duren feeling disrespected rather than simply underpaid.
Spears says Kings GM Scott Perry has a long-standing relationship with Duren dating to his draft process and shares agent ties, making Sacramento a real threat.
Detroit still wants him back and has offered a new deal, but Spears is unsure the sides can repair things before camp. Duren was not with the team as camp opened, alongside the departures of Tobias Harris and Isaiah Stewart.
