Knicks could pry Durant from Houston with Bridges, Hart and two picks

A separate trade idea floated for the same offseason has Houston sending Kevin Durant and Clint Capela to Denver for Aaron Gordon, Christian Braun, a 2031 first-round pick and a 2028 second-rounder, a scenario framed as something the Rockets could weigh before the 2026-27 season if they decide to move on from Durant early.

That's separate from the earlier idea of Durant going to New York for Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart, a 2027 second-rounder and a 2033 first-rounder, which would give Houston two playoff-tested wings fitting alongside Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson, pair Durant with Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby in New York, and trim about $11 million off the Knicks' payroll while opening second-apron space.

Heavy's Jake Fischer reports there is outside trade interest in Durant, but says the Rockets have shown no real inclination to make major changes this offseason.
