DeRozan says Jokic, Gordon, Murray calls swayed him to Denver

DeMar DeRozan told The Athletic's Mirin Fader that Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray each called to recruit him after he left Sacramento.

He said the outreach from a contender mattered to him this late in his career. DeRozan spent two seasons with the Kings, averaging 18.4 points last season, and called leaving those relationships difficult.

Kings stretch DeRozan's remaining $10M salary

Sacramento is stretching what's left of DeMar DeRozan's $10 million salary, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reports. That leaves him on the Kings' books at roughly $3.33 million a year for the next three seasons. DeRozan signed a one-year deal with Denver last week.
