Davis to Boston for Paul George and two young wings in trade idea
A trade idea floated by Heavy would send Anthony Davis from Washington to Boston, with the Wizards getting back Paul George, Jordan Walsh, Baylor Scheierman and a 2031 first-round pick, an upgrade from an earlier version of the proposal that had only a 2030 second-rounder attached.
The pitch leans on a rebuilding Washington team having no long-term interest in the 33-year-old Davis and on a thin Boston frontcourt seeking scoring next to Jayson Tatum, though no source is credited for the idea.
Wizards general manager Will Dawkins has instead publicly praised the on-court fit between Davis and Trae Young, giving no indication he intends to trade him. Davis is in the final stretch of a three-year contract worth roughly $175 million and has not received an extension.
