Dalano Banton leaves NBA fringe role for China's Shandong Kirin

Dalano Banton has signed with Shandong Hi-Speed Kirin in China, his first international contract, according to CHN Hoops via Instagram and Sportando's Dario Skerletic.

The 26-year-old guard played just six NBA games last season, splitting time between Boston and the Clippers, after a career-high 67 games with Portland in 2024/25.

He spent most of last season with Dallas's G League affiliate, the Texas Legends, averaging 24.9 points and 6.9 assists. Skerletic reports EuroLeague clubs including Olympiacos and Besiktas had also shown interest before Banton chose China.
