Curry takes team-friendly two-year, $116M extension with Warriors
Stephen Curry has agreed to a two-year, $116 million extension with Golden State, starting at $55.7 million in 2027-28 and including a player option for 2028-29, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
That's roughly $20 million below the $136.7 million he could have commanded over the same span. Curry took the discount after the Warriors offered him a range of options, from full max deals to cheaper structures, and after missing time last season with knee issues.
The deal keeps him under contract through his age-40 season, putting him on track to finish his career with Golden State, the New York Times reported. It also ends offseason speculation that this could have been his last year with the franchise.
