Curry's knee is why LeBron passed on Golden State, Thompson says
Marcus Thompson, speaking on The Tom Tolbert Show, said Stephen Curry's knee trouble was one reason LeBron James signed with Philadelphia instead of Golden State, framing James as wary of how many games he would be asked to carry if Curry were limited.
Thompson added he does not want Curry playing even 70 games next season.
Curry appeared in 43 games last season with patellofemoral pain, averaging 26.6 points on 39.3% from three. Golden State's summer additions were Brandon Williams, Georges Niang and Dalen Terry on an Exhibit 10.
