Carter's 17-point debut puts him ahead for Celtics' last spot
Devin Carter scored 17 points off the bench in Boston's preseason win over Cleveland, adding five rebounds, three assists and two steals. MassLive's Brian Robb said the performance puts Carter in the driver's seat for the Celtics' final two-way contract.
Carter is on an Exhibit 10 deal after Atlanta waived him in September, just before training camp started. Boston has 14 standard roster spots filled and one open two-way slot, with Carter's showing also raising talk of a push for the 15th standard spot.
