Carter hits waivers as Celtics and Heat both circle him
Devin Carter was waived by Sacramento on Friday, leaving the No. 13 pick from 2024 seeking his second NBA team. NBA insider Jake Fischer reports the Celtics could pursue him once he clears waivers, while Heat insider Ira Winderman says Miami has the cap room and roster space to make a move too.
Carter's father, Anthony Carter, is a Heat assistant coach, giving Miami an extra tie to the 24-year-old guard, who averaged 8.9 points for the Kings last season but has battled injuries.
