Bucks open to early Jaquez extension talks as Duren nears debut

Bucks general manager Jon Horst told Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Jim Owczarski the team is willing to discuss a contract extension with Jaime Jaquez Jr. before he even plays a regular-season game for Milwaukee. Owczarski floated a possible range of $15-18 million per year for such a deal.

Elsewhere in the Central, Tyrese Haliburton played his first game since tearing his Achilles, logging seven points, six assists and two blocks in Indiana's preseason opener.

Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff said Jalen Duren, who missed camp during a lengthy restricted free agency standoff, is still expected to play in the preseason, possibly as soon as Saturday against Washington.
