Bruce Brown floated as Raptors bench option after Kawhi trade filed
With two roster spots open, Toronto could look at free agent Bruce Brown for depth, Raptors reporter Jeremy Brenner said. Brown spent last season in Denver, averaging 7.9 points and 3.9 rebounds after prior stints with Indiana, Toronto and New Orleans.
Brenner noted Toronto could instead fill the spots internally with Andre Jackson Jr., Malachi Smith or two-way players like Chucky Hepburn.
Bleacher Report's Grant Hughes predicts Brown will land with the Knicks once New York resolves its center spot via trade, citing his two-way play and durability after playing 82 games.
ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel expects the Knicks to beat the Lakers for Brown, downplaying earlier reports of Los Angeles interest. Neither report describes an offer, and Brown remains a free agent five weeks before the season starts.
