Bleacher Report floats Gabe Vincent as Heat's guard fix
Bleacher Report's Grant Hughes suggests Miami reunite with free agent Gabe Vincent to fill its 15th roster spot. The Heat sit near the first apron, but a minimum salary could still fit. Vincent is floated as a fallback if Miami misses out on John Konchar.
Vincent would welcome a reunion, but Miami has yet to make an offer, Miami Herald reporter Barry Jackson said. Jackson noted Miami could give Vincent a non-guaranteed camp deal to compete with Drew Smith without a roster-spot commitment.
He added Miami may be holding its final standard spot for a bigger name off the buyout market later in the season.
The Knicks also spoke with Vincent, per SNY's Ian Begley, but have since signed five other veterans to non-guaranteed deals, narrowing his path there.
