Blazers lock in Shaedon Sharpe on extension

Portland acquired Ja Morant from Memphis in exchange for Jerami Grant and Kris Murray, Yahoo Sports reports. Morant struggled early last season but surged after a calf injury, averaging 28.5 points per 36 minutes on 58.7% true shooting over his final eight games before a season-ending elbow injury.

Portland signed swingman Jaylen Martin to a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contract, according to Joe Freeman of The Oregonian. Martin, 22, appeared in 16 NBA games for Brooklyn and Washington last season but has mostly played in the G League.

Blake Wesley is signing a one-year deal with the Clippers, Jake Fischer of The Stein Line reports. The 25th pick in the 2022 draft spent three years in San Antonio before moving to Washington and then Portland, where a fractured foot limited him to 31 games last season, in which he averaged 4.8 points and 2.0 assists.
