Agent: Portland beat Minnesota's offer, but Kuminga wanted the clean fit

Aaron Turner, who represents Jonathan Kuminga, said on FanDuel TV's 'Run It Back' that the Lakers, Bulls and Blazers all pursued his client, and that Portland's proposal carried a higher player option than the one-year, $12.1 million deal he took in Minnesota.

Turner said Kuminga spoke at length with JJ Redick about a role at the four in Los Angeles, but the Lakers wanted a longer commitment below the mid-level.

He also pushed back on the reported Golden State history: no five-year, $150 million offer ever existed, and last summer's talks were complicated by the coach publicly saying Kuminga did not fit while the front office dangled money in the twenties.
