Agbaji floated as a bargain wing option for the Lakers
Ochai Agbaji remains unsigned after stints with Utah, Toronto and Brooklyn, and Bleacher Report's Eric Pincus lists him among the top free agents still without a team. Pincus notes Agbaji improved to 34.9% from three after landing in Brooklyn and could need to start on an Exhibit 10 deal.
LakeShowLife's Maxwell Ogden separately named the 26-year-old wing a priority target for Los Angeles on a one or two-year deal, a suggestion that followed the Lakers missing out on free agents Jonathan Kuminga and Peyton Watson.
Bleacher Report's Grant Hughes also named Agbaji among the top unsigned free agents and called the Lakers his best fit.
Hughes points out Agbaji shot 39.9% from three in 2024-25 but struggled for minutes last season, playing just 20 games at 16.2 minutes per outing for Brooklyn. Any contract would likely be non-guaranteed, offering Los Angeles a low-risk look at a wing.
